Thing #11

I loved...loved this assignment.  One of the main reasons I loved this assignment is because I love to create memory videos.  This is based on presentation tools and I am already familiar with Prezi, Power point, Animoto etc.  So I decided to look at the only one I have never tried Kizoa.  Jackpot!! I love it and ended up spending way to much time on it.  I will definitely be using this again and have even thought about creating a video of each child in my classroom for mother's day.  Please check it out and see what you think.

What I really liked about the tool is that it is very easy to use and offers a very polished look.  You can make these beautiful animated collages with the video and I think that is really neat.  This would not be something I would have the children use, however, I could use it as a fun "Welcome" video with parents when they come on the first open house as well as it could be used in conferences.  Maybe I would make a short video on each child and then learning and send it to the parents the day before they arrive for conferences to help them get into the celebration mode.  Last but not least, also as a gift.  It is free except for the time I decide to put into it.

  1. Well this video is so impressive. You are right that this tool makes things look very polished. I too love video collages that are easy to upload based on an event. You could also just make a quick video on BeeBots or whatever you all are doing in class in general to share with parents and this wouldn't require the individualized attention. Great ideas! Glad you explored a new tool!

    1. Thanks Dr. Wilson. I purchased it because I loved it so much. I used to get paid to create videos for families and schools but it just took to much time up. Can't wait to try this with my own family pictures and videos.

  2. GREAT JOB, Kat! I really like the way you created your "Back to School" Kizoa. It is so colorful and full of precious pics. of your students. I think the parents would LOVE seeing their children in action on Parents' Night... What a GREAT KEEPSAKE for an "End of the Year" gift for each student and parent... We've come a LONG way from the actual scrapbooks we used to make for each child! I'm looking forward to using Kizoa, too!

  3. Such a cool tool! I will definitely use this one next time! Thanks so much for sharing. I wish that I would have made comments before making my presentation tool slideshow. It took me forever! I should have stopped after making it the first time... oh well, Live and Learn! Great job Kat. Your kids will love seeing themselves on the big screen with this tool. I am sure that you can send it to your parents as well and wait for comments. Add it to your website!!! So cool! Mel
